This is a drawing of a scene set at the base of a large tree with other trees visible in the background. The composition captures intricate foliage and bark textures, showcasing detailed linework typical of wood engravings. Central in the foreground is an elaborately robed figure that appears to be an elderly man with a long beard and a cap characterized by its elaborate design. The figure is engaged in an interaction with a smaller, nude figure emerging from the side of the tree. At the base of the image, a reclining figure is depicted with closed eyes. To the right, in the backdrop, an animal resembling a deer can be subtly discerned. The artist's monogram and year are engraved at the top left. The piece emphasizes detailed engraving techniques, typical of the period’s woodcut illustrations, with a keen focus on texture and storytelling.
