The image is an etching showing a rural scene with buildings partly hidden by trees. The horizon is low in the composition above the buildings. There are tall trees on both sides of the scene. The detailed crosshatched lines create texture in the sky and trees, making the monochrome print appear rustic and timeless. The composition guides the viewer's gaze towards the buildings in the distance.
