The image shows two figures seated amongst clouds. The central figure is an individual with long hair and a beard, exhibiting aged features and expressive eyes. He is dressed in robes and holds an open book. The other figure, possibly an angel, has long wavy hair and holds a scroll. Rays of light emanate above the central figure. The background consists of swirling clouds. The upper right corner of the image shows the year "1539" and an artist's monogram.
