Artist After, Italian, 1781 - 1835

The image features an upper-body representation of a man seated and turned slightly to his left, with his head also turned leftward. He has a prominent profile, large nose, sideburns, loose wavy hair with curls around his neck, and is dressed in a coat, vest, and cravat. His left arm is bent with the hand resting on a flat surface, and the right elbow is on the back of a chair with a finial visible at the top. Next to him is a design with swirled lines and text reading "Pinelli Bernardo." The background is a plain, textured surface resembling aged paper, with a portion appearing folded or crumpled in the top right corner.
