The image shows buildings with multiple spire-topped towers on the right side of the river. The buildings are connected to the left side of the frame by a bridge that sits slightly below the horizon. In the sky, there are fluffy clouds and a drifting hot air balloon. The bridge's arches reflect on the water below, where small boats are present. The artwork is in an etching style with fine lines and stippling for texture. The color palette is monochrome in shades of sepia and brown, giving the image a historic quality.
