This is a photograph of a weathered wooden building wall with a window and a partially opened shutter. The image captures the detail and texture of the aged wooden planks that make up the wall. The wood shows visible grains and knots. Positioned on the right side of the frame is a simple, square window divided into four panes. The window's glass is cracked. Above the window, a shutter made from similar wood to the rest of the wall is open. There is a strong play of light and shadow, emphasizing the textures and lines of the woodwork in this moody black and white photograph.

The image shows a man leaning his head on his hand, positioned with his face resting on his left hand. He has a mustache, thin-framed eyeglasses, and thick, greying hair that curls slightly at the edges. He is dressed in a formal jacket, a white shirt, and a black bow tie. The background is a soft, dark blur.
