Scholarly Remarks and Key Set Data

Remarks

Although Stieglitz erratically dated other prints from Set C2 (see Key Set number 1257), the patterns of the clouds and the stark contrast of the prints in this set indicate that they were made in 1929. Further, Stieglitz grouped his Equivalents into numbered sets primarily in 1923 and 1929.
