He has a mustache and a pointed beard, styled hair, and wears elaborate clothing from a historical period style. Surrounding the portrait is an inscription, with Latin text below it, alongside the engraver's signature and date, "L. Kilian. sculps: 1621." The background is filled with a hatched pattern.
