The image shows three figures from the knees up. In the center, a seated woman holds a small child on her lap. The woman has long flowing hair covered by a veil and simple facial features. She wears a yellow garment with a red undercloak. The child has curly hair and a halo, and is partially nude. Beside them, another woman kneels, wearing a green robe and a crown. The background includes architectural elements with floral decorations and a sun and moon motif. The ground is adorned with colorful flowers.
