This print features a portrait of an older man within an ornate oval frame. The man is facing us with a slight smile. He has pale skin, a pointed white beard, a curled gray mustache, dark eyebrows, high cheekbones, wavy gray hair, and thin lips curved upward. He is wearing a dark garment with a large white collar and small buttons down the front. Around the oval portrait is a band with text, and beyond that is a frame adorned with foliage. Below the frame are two trumpet shapes pointing to the left and right, and below those are two sphinxlike figures turned to the sides. At the top of the frame are wing-like shapes and stacks of books.
