The image shows a portrait of a man identified as St. John Hayward. He is facing slightly to the right with a serious expression. He has a receding hairline, a full beard, and is holding a scroll in his right hand. Hayward is wearing an elaborate outfit with puffed sleeves and a large ruff collar. There is a coat of arms behind his left shoulder. The background has a detailed pattern. At the bottom, there are two separate illustrations depicting scenes with figures engaged with creatures, and a man being assisted by another holding a container, with captions "FLY FROM EVEL" and "DOE GOOD" written underneath.
