He has shoulder-length wavy hair under a hat with an emblem, and wears regal clothing a fur-trimmed robe with embroidered patterns. He holds a scepter and an orb with a cross. The background shows an oval frame with inscriptions "ANGLIAE GALLIAE ET HIBERNIAE REX" and "PRUDENTISS: PRIN: HENRICUS" with decorative motifs outside. Below the portrait is an inscription identifying the man as "The most Mighty ... and Prudent Prince Henry the seventh King of England," with a coat of arms and a crown.
