He has a calm expression, with a bald crown, short hair, a beard, and a mustache. He is wearing a robe with a high collar, and has a radiant halo encircling his head. He wears a ring on his right index finger. In the foreground, he is looking at a crucifix with an image of Jesus Christ, to the right. Below the crucifix is a human skull resting on books. The background is plain, placing emphasis on the central figure and objects.
