The image shows an upper-body portrait of a man seated facing to the right. His facial features are notable for their solemn expression, with wrinkles visible on his forehead, deep-set eyes, and a defined nose. The man is wearing a fur-trimmed robe, and a decorative flower-shaped brooch on the left side of his chest. His hair is mostly covered by a dark, flat hat typical of the period, with only a slight fringe visible. The background is a textured pattern. Below the portrait, there is a text providing information about the person depicted, including his name, "Thomas Morus."
