This image is an engraving of Petrus Scriverius, a man depicted from the upper half. He is facing slightly to the left, making direct eye contact with the viewer. He has a distinctive head shape, a high forehead, short beard and mustache, and neatly styled short hair. He wears period clothing with a detailed garment and an elaborate ruffled collar. The portrait is set within an oval frame with fine linear detailing in the background. Surrounding the oval are inscriptions that include "LEGENDE ET SCRIBENDO" at the top and "PETRUS SCRIVERIUS" below the image.
