He has a long beard and a solemn expression, with deeply set eyes. his hair is mostly covered by a dark cap with some curls showing. He wears a fur-trimmed garment over a buttoned vest or coat made of rich fabric. The background is plain with a textured, line-drawn effect, with text above and below the portrait.
