The image is a line drawing of a person and a large sculpted head. The person, depicted from the waist up and positioned towards the right side of the composition but facing left, has wide eyes and defined eyebrows. Their head appears to have curling vines or leaves in their curly hair and is unclothed, holding a high-relief carving tool or chisel pointed towards the sculpted head on a pedestal, also adorned with vines. The background is plain, emphasizing the interaction between the person and the carved bust.
