This is a drawing of a bear being led on a chain by a figure clad in formal attire. The drawing captures a riverside scene, with a bridge crossing over the water in the background and the suggestion of urban life. The bear is positioned to the left, depicted with shaggy fur and a strapped muzzle, walking behind the figure dressed in a suit and top hat. The setting includes a clear pathway bordered by lamps. The style of the drawing is reminiscent of the work of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The image is filled with text, including the title “Les Vieilles Histoires” and credits to Jean Goudezki and Désiré Dihau.
