The image shows a central figure standing with one hand raised and the other laid across their abdomen. This person has long hair, a beard, and is dressed in a flowing robe. Surrounding this figure are several winged figures in various poses, some standing and others kneeling with their hands clasped or gesturing towards the central figure. The figures have curly hair and serene expressions, with intricate details on their clothing. Lush foliage, including two prominent trees, animals, and birds, surrounds the figures. In the background, there is a mix of vegetation, small creatures like rabbits and a fawn, and a host of birds interacting with the trees.

[1] Although Rudolph Gutmann’s collection was seized in 1938 and restituted to him almost in its entirety, this particular work does not seem to appear in the catalogue of the seized collection or among the seizure cards created for the Zentraldepot, Vienna. This print might have entered the market before 1938.
