Artist, Dutch, c. 1565 - 1637

The image depicts an engraving of a man from the waist up. He stands in a slightly turned position with his left hand resting on his hip. The man's facial features are detailed, with a youthful face and slightly curled hair styled away from his face. His hair appears short at the sides and longer on top. He is wearing elaborate clothing typical of the period, including a richly decorated jacket adorned with buttons and a luxurious lace collar that extends around his neck. There is a wide sash falling across his chest. His right hand is also visible at his waist. The background is filled with a finely detailed circular pattern, framed by text surrounding the image's border. The border of the image includes Latin script both along the top and the bottom.
