His hair is swept back, and he wears a richly adorned garment typical of nobility. A large ruff encircles his neck and there are intricate details in the clothing and decoration. The portrait is of Prince Albert Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, and Prince of Belgium. The background features textured lines and the frame has decorative bands with inscriptions in Latin.
