The image displays a man from the chest up, seated and looking forward. He has a long face with a high forehead, narrow eyes, a thin nose, and a slightly curled mustache. His hair is short, wavy, and combed back, partially covering his ears. He wears a voluminous ruff around his neck, covered in lace or fine fabric, and a robe with a chain featuring detailed decorative elements. In his right hand, he holds a small book or document. The background is an intricately patterned frame with a Latin inscription around it, small heraldic emblems at the top corners.
