Artist, English, 1590 - 1627

The image shows a man standing with his right hand on his hip, looking directly at the viewer with a slight smile on his face. His facial features are somewhat angular, with a prominent nose and a receding hairline accentuating his bald head. His hair appears to be closely cut around the sides and back. He is dressed in an elaborate costume featuring a long, patterned robe tied at the waist with a sash, adorned with detailed embroidery and the initials "H.R." prominently displayed on his chest. Over this, he wears a cape-like garment, and his shoes are pointed with bows on them. A wide-brimmed hat with a large feather adorns his head. He holds a horn in his left hand. The background shows various buildings, including what appears to be a church steeple, and several small figures engaged in activities such as playing and acrobatics.
