The image depicts an engraving with multiple sections. In the center is the bust of Christiaen Hertoch tot Brunswyck, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and intricate clothing with a high lace collar. Flanking him are two full-length figures holding flags with inscriptions. The background and borders are ornate with scrollwork and combat scenes. The top and bottom sections show vignettes of swordplay and a dramatic scene around a drum, with figures in period clothing.
