The image depicts an elegantly dressed man from the knees up. He faces slightly to the right, with one hand on his chest and the other holding a staff or baton. His face is turned towards the viewer with a neatly trimmed beard and mustache, curly light-colored hair, a high-status outfit with a richly decorated doublet, intricate lace cuffs, a high lace collar, a draped cloak over his left shoulder, and a heavy chain around his neck. The ornate portrait is bordered by an oval frame with decorative elements. The background shows a curtain on the left and a detailed scroll with text, symbols, and figures in the lower half.
