He has a mature face with a short beard and mustache, his hair is neatly combed back, and he wears a formal, dark-colored garment with a high ruffled collar. A chain with a medallion hangs from his neck. The background features an oval frame with Latin inscriptions and a coat of arms above it. Below the portrait, a decorative text panel provides details about the person depicted. The engraving is highly detailed with fine line work.
