The image shows a monochromatic portrait of a man's upper body. He is seated and facing directly towards the viewer with his hands resting on an open book on a surface before him. The man has a long, full beard and mustache, and his hair is covered by a cap. He wears a formal robe with a white ruffled collar and puffy sleeves, typical of historical clergy attire. The background features an ornate border with ribbons and a coat of arms at the top center. Surrounding the man's portrait are scrolling inscriptions and text at the bottom.
