The man has a defined face with a pointed chin and a mustache, and appears to have long, wavy hair. He is wearing a tall, dark hat and a lace ruff around his neck. His clothing is richly decorated with a pattern, and he holds a piece of paper in his right hand. The background consists of horizontal lines and the bottom of the image includes an inscription.
