The image shows an engraving of a man seated from the waist up. He is facing left, with his head turned back towards the viewer. He has distinct facial features, wavy hair, and is wearing a cloak over a tunic. His right hand is resting on a paper or scroll. Two globes are on the table beside him, one with a compass and geometric figure, and the other with numbers. The background has textured shading and partially visible text. The inscription at the bottom reads "EFFIGIES JONÆ MOORE A: Ætat:35. 1649."
