The image shows a man from the waist up. He is turned slightly to the viewer's left, with his right hand raised and index finger extended upward. He has distinct facial features including a prominent nose and lips, with his eyes looking slightly towards the viewer. He has long, curly hair that falls to his shoulders and is wearing a draped garment, possibly a cloak, over a shirt with ruffled sleeves. A decorative bracelet is worn on his left wrist. In the background, there is a large tree trunk to the left and an elaborate shield or coat of arms to the right. Above his head and to the upper right, there is an astronomical diagram. The lower half of the image contains text, including what seems to be a name and additional writing or poetry.
