The man has a long face, a prominent nose, high cheekbones, long wavy hair that reaches his shoulders, and wears a dark, simple garment with a wide, pointed collar. The coat is belted around his waist with a broad sash. In the background, there is a detailed tree with dense leaves, and a pastoral landscape with water, trees, and a distant figure fishing.
