Artist, English, 1616 - 1691

Three figures are depicted in a full-length view in a regal or formal setting. The central figure is seated on an ornate throne, wearing a crown and holding a scepter. Her robe is elaborate and she appears to have curly hair styled in an elegant updo. The figure on the left is standing and wearing a decorated robe and hat, holding a square flat object with a design on it. The figure on the right is also standing and dressed in a richly detailed garment, holding a scroll in his hand. The background features draped curtains, a textured backdrop, and a decorative emblem above the seated figure. An inscription below describes the subject as the "Compleat Ambassador."
