The illustration features a bust of Homer at the top, flanked by two soldiers in armor holding spears. Below is an inscription for "The Workes of Homer" by T. Hobbes. In the center bottom is a portrait of Thomas Hobbes. The background is ornately engraved with the publisher's information stating "London Printed for W: Crooke at the green Dragon, without Temple Barre. 1677."
