This image depicts an engraved portrait of a seated person from the chest up. The individual is facing slightly to the viewer's right, wearing a large ruffled collar that extends around the shoulders and neck. The person has a sharp nose, thin lips, and delicate eyebrows. Their hair is styled back and appears smooth and close to the head. The clothing is richly detailed with intricate patterns on the sleeves and a fitted bodice. There is a pendant around the neck. The image is surrounded by a circular frame with an inscription naming the individual as "Maria Stvard." Two crests are located at the top corners, one with fleur-de-lis and the other with a heraldic lion rampant. The background within the circle has fine lines, while the corners outside the circle show small scenes with multiple figures engaged in various activities.
