There are two men in the image. One, on the left, is seen from the side, angled towards the other man on the right who is mostly seen from the back and side. The man on the left has a prominent nose and expressive eyes, with his hair styled back. He is wearing a dark jacket and a high-collar outfit typical of the 19th century. The man on the right is wearing a tall hat with a bobble and an elaborate patterned robe. The man on the left's hand is raised. The background is monochromatic with soft cross-hatching.
