This is an image of a landscape viewed from a slightly elevated angle. The horizon is in the top third of the image, revealing a castle-like structure surrounded by hills and vegetation. Smoke is seen coming from the castle towers against a backdrop of clouds. The etching technique creates texture and depth in the trees and rocky terrain. The color palette is monochromatic, using sepia tones. In the foreground, two figures are visible, one reclining under a tree and the other attending to them.
