The image shows a rural scene with a small rustic house and a structure on a hill in the center. The horizon is low, with the hill sloping towards the bottom left corner. The brushstrokes are loose and sketchy, creating texture and shadow. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of brown and dark sepia tones on aged paper. In the distance, to the right of the house, are a few leafless trees.
