The image depicts three full-body figures positioned closely together. On the left, there is a female figure shown in profile, wearing a gown made entirely of a fabric imprinted with the words "LISEZ L'EPOQUE." Her veil, extending down to her feet, matches the gown. Her facial features are exaggerated with a long nose, and she has long, dark hair adorned with a decorative piece. In the center, there is an elderly individual standing facing forward, holding a book in one hand while the other hand is enveloped by the female's hand. His facial expression is worn, his mouth slightly agape, and he wears a cap atop wispy hair. On the right, a stout male figure, also in profile, leans forward with a walking stick. His nose is pronounced, and he wears a cap, a buttoned coat, and carries a bunch of flowers in his breast pocket. The background is plain.
