The image shows several figures in a street scene. On the left, a group of men wearing tall top hats and formal attire stand together, with overcoats and bow ties. They have serious expressions with distinct features and some have sideburns. Nearby, a woman in long garments stands next to them, wearing a bonnet. In the middle, a man in full profile rushes to the right while looking back over his shoulder. He wears a long coat and a round hat and appears to be shouting. To his left, another man tries to control an agitated horse, evident from its raised front leg and rearing posture. The background shows a busy urban street with buildings, people on foot and horseback, and carriages or wagons. The scene conveys a moment of activity and congestion in a city setting.
