This is a print showing the basket of a hot air balloon which reads "Photographie Nadar." In the distance, far below, is a cityscape featuring many rooftops with the word "Photographie" on them. The city below is detailed, with various buildings and streets and a prominent domed structure in the distance on the right. The basket is in the center of the print, and it is tilted, with long ropes stretching from the center towards the top left where the balloon would be. In the basket is a man looking into a camera on a tripod, facing the right. A top hat is flying off his head, and there is a blanket or cloth in the basket below him. Below the print is a line of text.
