This image shows a landscape with a riverbank in the foreground. In the center, there are three people working and tools scattered around them. To the right, there are horses attached to a cart near a rocky outcrop with a castle on it. The castle has a tall tower and several peaked roofs surrounded by trees. The terrain slopes down towards the river on the left, leading to distant hills with scattered structures and boats along the water. The horizon is in the middle of the image, balancing the composition. The sky has swirling clouds in fine, intricate lines. The entire scene is depicted in detailed lines with a monochromatic palette, characteristic of etching techniques from its era.
