The image shows a rural village with thatched and shingle roofed cottages surrounded by trees. A person is gathering or working with sticks in the middle distance. At the horizon, there is a large weathered building partly obscured by trees. The etching is detailed and uses fine lines to depict textures. The color palette is monochromatic, using brown ink lines to create light and shadow, enhancing the tranquil mood of the scene.
