The image shows a figure crouched at the base of a large tree trunk in a forest setting. The trees and foliage are dense, with no visible horizon. The detailed etching depicts the texture of the tree bark and light filtering through the trees. The color palette is monochromatic with shades of sepia or brown. Light and shadow highlight the figure and environment. The trees frame the scene and lead the eye upwards towards a softly lit area in the distance.
