Artist, Italian, active c. 1500

The sculpture is a circular relief featuring two figures riding on a horse, with another figure being led alongside. The main figures are intertwined, with one holding the reins and another sitting behind. The figure at the back reaches out to grasp the hand of the figure led alongside the horse. The entire relief is a bronze sculpture. The craftsmanship in the relief shows defined musculature and flowing lines that suggest movement. The relief is designed to be viewed from the front as a cohesive scene capturing a dynamic moment.
