This is a monochrome illustration showing several figures, most of whom are depicted partially, with only their upper body visible. In the foreground, there is a prominent face with long hair that falls to the shoulder, large eyes, a defined nose, and full lips. The figure is wearing a wide-brimmed hat, and their facial expression is neutral. Behind this figure, to the right, is another figure with long, straight hair, positioned sideways and appearing to be seated or kneeling, with lines suggesting a draped garment or shawl. To the left, a smaller human form resembling a child is clutching this figure and is wrapped in swaddling clothes, with a visible round face and short length hair. Above, two larger figures appear to be standing, one with medium-length hair and angular facial features, wearing simple clothing. The background consists of abstract lines and hazy figures, resembling a crowd, while the sides are filled with dark shading to create depth. The signature "Cock van Gent" appears on the lower right corner of the image.
