This is a drawing of two figures in military attire engaged in a standoff. The scene prominently features two central figures, both in military-style clothing, each holding a rifle and facing one another. One figure is short and stout, with a conical helmet, and has a large pouch or backpack slung over their shoulder. The other figure appears tall and slender, sporting a long beard, and wearing a top hat along with a similar backpack. In the background, a mass of similarly dressed figures extends, holding rifles upright. The drawing is executed with fine lines and shading that highlights the figure's caricature-like expressions and postures, against a neutral background.
