[1] NGA 1961.18.1.a,b is a bronze replica of a gold medal presented by the Committee of Italian Artists and the National Academy of the Lincei, Rome, to Minister Rodolfo Siviero for his efforts during and after World War II to identify and restore to the rightful owners works of art that had been taken from Italian collections. The replica was presented to the NGA in recognition of the contribution to the cause of the preservation of works of art made by the citizens of the United States.
