The image is from a slightly elevated point of view, showing people and animals engaged in an activity. The horizon is high in the image, almost level with the heads of the horses. The sky takes up much of the upper portion of the image, with clouds rendered using intricate, linear brushstrokes and swirls. The color palette is monochromatic with sepia tones. The etching displays livestock, a cart, and figures working diligently. Further back in the scene, more figures and livestock are seen against the cloud-filled sky.
