The image depicts a scene with cows gathered at a river to drink. A shepherd is overseeing them. The landscape includes hills in the distance and a small structure atop one of the hills on the right side. The etching features intricate lines creating textures in the trees, cows, and landscape. The color palette is sepia. The cows are shown drinking or resting, with the shepherd nearby. A large tree offers shade, and the hills have sparse vegetation. In the background, an architectural structure can be seen on the horizon.
