The image shows a pastoral scene from an elevated viewpoint. The horizon is high with a sky, clouds, birds, figures tending to sheep, thatched-roof structures, a stepped gable building, a wooden fence, and tall trees. The composition uses hatch marks for texture, linear techniques with fine lines and cross-hatching for shading, and a monochromatic color palette with various shades of grey.
